The prodigal returns

Dear friends!

It's been absolutely forever (or feels like it anyway) since my New Year's Eve post, and I have missed you and my virtual Tallulah House terribly. Sometimes real life takes over, though, as I'm sure you all understand.

I'm back now, though, and wanted to share some pictures with you. I was off junking in Chamblee last month with Elizabeth and, in the dusty, cavernous hall of an antiques store, stumbled onto something that I've always wanted: a milk bottle carrier. (I know, I know, random, but the heart wants what it wants!! :) ) So, not only was it a milk bottle carrier, but it was a sturdy, wire carrier with a wooden handle AND not only was it a sturdy, wire carrier with a wooden handle but it had some actual milk bottles in it WITH THE ORIGINAL TOPS ON! I could barely contain myself! The price was definitely right, so off I skipped to the cash register and made it mine.

Well, here's what I did with it:

I was really pleased with how it turned out. Oh, and the tablecloth is one I got that same day from a charity shop-- only $4.00!

On another note: if you've never visited Sara Duckett at Sadie Olive, you should head on over and congratulate her on her house being showcased in this month's "Romantic Homes". Go, Sara!

I hope that you have a lovely day!
Kimberley
